Bundamba students visit Simtars
Year 12 students from Bundamba State Secondary College spent time at Simtars on 1 March 2017. The students toured the facilities and met with technical and other specialist staff. Following demonstrations the Virtual Reality Immersive Training Theatre and the ever-popular Propagation Tube, the students now have a better understanding of what Simtars does to ensure every mine worker in Queensland goes home safe, every day. Many of the students will enter a career in the mining sector and other allied industries. Being able to see first-hand the valuable work we do to ensure mine safety and health is maintained throughout Queensland mines was a great way of reinforcing their decision to follow their chosen career path knowing they will be safe.
